LAST WEST Student Matinee

Event Registration
Sonoma Valley Museum of Art 551 Broadway Sonoma, CA 95476

This live theater experience with video projections is based on the book Last West: Roadsongs for Dorothea Lange (2020), written by Tess Taylor and directed by Ciera Eis.  Set against an immersive projection of moving, collaged Lange images, five actors tell the story of Lange’s life and journeys, helping us to understand how Dorothea Lange’s journeys might well help us understand our own.

Friday November 7
Student matinee, 11am

Friday, December 5
Student matinee, 11am

We require that groups provide one adult chaperone for every 10 students.

All tickets include Museum admission and entry to the accompanying exhibition Last West: Roadsongs for Dorothea Lange.

Please allow plenty of time to check in and assemble your students. Doors will open for audience seating 15 minutes prior to the start time of the performance. We will seat a school group once the entire group is present and ready to enter. Latecomers will be seated at the house manager’s discretion.

• Food and drinks are NOT allowed inside SVMA. You are welcome to store sack lunches at the front desk during the performance and many schools elect to eat sack lunches at nearby Sonoma Plaza.
